"Valentines Day"
I have been married three times. While I believe in marriage, I can not, for the life of me figure it out! Some of us are very lucky with love, and some of us, well, not so lucky. We just keep on trying until it makes us, or breaks us! For me it is a job. You want to do well, and maybe get a promotion someday. So I ask you, "What the Hell" is this? NO VALENTINE ON VALENTINES DAY!!!!!! NONE, NOTHING! And, I will add that this is not the first time. "What The Hell" is that? Do we just get old and it doesn't matter to some of us? Bullshit on that! So, I am hurt AGAIN! "What The Hell" should I do? Get a divorce, leave, be mad for a week, no sex, no talking. I could go on and on! Would it matter? For the record, it is very important to take note of these special days, you know, like your 50th birthday!!!!!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Where is the manual? My husband does very well when he has a manual! Me, no manual required! My Mother must have done something right! It is in tears that I leave you today. "WHAT THE HELL"

Here's how most men look at this subject: We do a lot to demonstrate through our actions and deeds how we love someone. We show them everyday by providing. Our worth is tied up in providing and we think the connection between love and providing should be enough. In other words we are showing our love not talking our love. We think talk is cheap and it seems corny to us.
ReplyDeleteWe also think that Valentine's day is marketing program run by Hallmark. How could a little card with flowery words do anything compared to the effort we make to provide? I did not give my wife (wife number 2) a card but we did have a fun day by going to the Daytona 500. I never said this is in place of the card, I just showed her a good time. On that day I never said I loved her but I thought I showed her.
A few days later she said thanks and said it was a good Valentine's day. Wife number 1 would have complained and I would have thought: "WHAT THE HELL"
I see your pictures of all the cool things you love around your house. Did you get him a card? Weather he did or not does not matter so much as that he is showing you. Tell him you understand and next year you might get a card but you will likely get a smile from him at that moment that says "I love you"
